AP-7000 – Long-term deployment multi-parameter Aquaprobe
The AP-7000 is designed to be deployed for long periods of automated monitoring. It utilizes a built in cleaning system to clean all of the installed sensors fitted to the probe, allowing accurate data capture for longer. The probe comes with all of the common water quality sensors installed and gives you the option to fit a further 6 additional sensors, allowing a huge amount of data to be captured.
The AP-7000 Aquaprobe is designed for long term deployment utilising a central cleaning system to keep the fitted sensors clean reducing the effects of bio-fouling common in extended deployments. The probe comes with all of our standard parameters including optical dissolved oxygen, it also features 6 user configurable auxiliary sockets allowing you to add multiple specialist sensors to the probe. The AP-7000 is capable of measuring up to 17 individual parameters at once.
Standard parameters on the AP-7000
- Optical DO
- Specific EC
- Absolute EC
- pH
- ORP
- Depth
- TDS
- Resistivity
- Salinity
- SSG
- Temperature
The AP-7000 features 6 Auxiliary sockets to allow you to add further sensors to the probe. The sockets are completely unrestricted so you can fit the probe with any combination of our ion selective or optical sensors.
The AP-7000 can be used with a variety of cable lengths via the AquaConn Connectors. Cables available in 3, 10, 20 and 30m lengths as standard.
Central Self Cleaning System
The AP-7000 is fitted with a central self cleaning system. The brush, that sits in its home position, will rotate and wipe each of the sensor faces clean multiple times per cleaning cycle. This level of cleaning maximises the duration that the probe can be left unmanned for.
Logging Options
There are various options in terms of logging:
GPS Aquameter
The GPS Aquameter is always required with any Aquaprobe. It is used for taking spot measurements, logging data manually and for calibrating the probes sensors. Its built in GPS receiver allows it to capture the location of every dataset you record. The GPS Aquameter also features a barometric pressure sensor for auto compensation for changes in air pressure during the deployment.
AquaLogger
The AquaLogger is designed to work with the AP-7000. It uses standard C cell batteries to power the system and has a large memory allowing the capture of up to 15,000 datasets. The Aqualogger also features a barometric pressure sensor for auto compensation for changes in air pressure during the deployment.
The BlackBox data converter
The Blackbox is a data converter that transforms our probes output into either SDI-12 or Modbus RS485. This allows you to connect the Aquaprobe to third party logging devices, telemetry systems or existing monitoring networks. SDI-12 is our recommended protocol. It allows the Aquaprobe to effectively go to sleep between readings to reduce power consumption and on the probe waking a clean cycle is initiated prior to taking any readings.
